This free virtual half-day course enables delegates to develop their knowledge and skills regarding the structure of an Initial Child Protection Conference and the requirements of professionals involved. It is available to all professionals working with children and young people in Hampshire who have previously attended one of the morning sessions of the first part of this course.
Learning Outcomes:

The course is 3-hours in duration, including a 15-minute break and will run from 13:30 – 16:30 in the afternoon. Delegates will be able to access pre-course material, which provides information regarding a devised case. During the afternoon, delegates will be asked to draw upon this information and play an active role in a mock Child Protection Conference for this case. The mock Child Protection Conference will be chaired by a Hampshire Independent Reviewing Officer, allowing delegates the opportunity to experience the way that a Child Protection Conference is run.
As we are now running the full day course, the morning session will now finish at 13:00 to allow delegates attending both sessions to take a refreshment break across lunch.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be notified as soon as the pre-course material is available for you to access via your HSCP training account.
