HSCP has commissioned CAMHS to deliver this half day course which aims to increase the knowledge and skills of professionals regarding children who self-harm.

Learning Outcomes

  • Define deliberate self-harm.
  • Identify the prevalence of deliberate self-harm in children and young people.
  • Describe the early signs of deliberate self-harm in children and young people.
  • Explain the CAMHS referral criteria (what will be accepted, who can refer, how to refer).
  • Identify local support services.
  • Use the Specialist CAMHS Consultation Line.

Who Should Attend?

Professionals/practitioners from any agency who work with children (8 years plus) and their families who live in the HCC area.
