Adolescence is a transitional period of physical and psychological development between childhood and adulthood. This webinar will introduce the 'Safeguarding Adolescents Strategy and Toolkit' which is designed to support the improvement of outcomes for children transitioning through this period to safeguard them from psychological and physical harm. Attendance from partner agencies across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Partnerships is encouraged. Learning will be relevant for professionals from operational to senior management roles.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify and provide an early effective response and intervention to safeguarding young people at risk of harm
  • Introduce and highlight the effective use of the 'Safeguarding Adolescent Strategy and Toolkit'
  • Share learning from relevant Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
  • Promote how the Strategy and Toolkit can support professional practice
  • Explore how key messages can be disseminated and opportunities for further training
