This course is to help you understand the importance of sharing general information about vulnerable children and adults with police to build as complete a picture as possible of the risks faced. It explains what type of information needs to be shared, how to do this and what happens once you have passed the information to police. It will also give you tips on how to complete the form, explaining some common errors and giving good practice examples.

  • When to call 999/101 to report a crime and when to complete a CPI form instead. 
  • The importance of sharing information with police and how this relates to GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
