Detail:

This session will provide an overview of the key vulnerabilites of infants under one and how professionals can work to safeguard them in their first year. This course is open to every professional and volunteer working with children and young people in Hampshire, but will be of particular value to professionals working with expectant parents and parents with infants under one year.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop an awareness of the vulnerabilities of infants, including the emerging themes from both local reviews and National Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
  • Gain an understanding of Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership’s initiatives to safeguard and protect infants
  • Develop confidence to apply Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership's policies, procedures and toolkits in practice
  • Apply this learning to your own practice
