This new course will provide delegates with an introduction to the relatively recently defined and diagnosed eating disturbance -  Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. The presenters will explore ARFID to help professionals understand warning signs, symptoms and risk factors as well as addressing how children and young people might be supported.  The webinar is open to all professionals and volunteers working within Hampshire, but might be of particular interest to social workers, health professionals and education staff working with Hampshire's young people.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand what ARFID is
  • Explore practical approaches to supporting a young person with ARFID
