Financial and economic abuse within the context of domestic abuse is not often seen as presenting a risk to a victim.  This workshop aims to provide information around what constitutes economic abuse and the complexities around it, together with an awareness of the limitations imposed on the victim of that abuse. This course can be booked and attended by all professionals working with children and young people in Hampshire, including schools, nurseries, health colleagues and social worker/family support workers.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand economic abuse within the wider context of domestic abuse
  • Develop an awareness of the extent and complexity of economic abuse
  • Acknowledge the limitations for the victim on their ability to escape and understand the impact of those limitations
  • Know where to go for support
