HSCP has developed a suite of eLearning modules, webinars and virtual training to allow professionals/practitioners continued access to safeguarding training. Face-to-face training is now being incorporated back into the programme.

All multi-agency courses are fully funded for professionals working with children who live in the Hampshire local authority area.

The mediation awareness training provides a comprehensive overview of family mediation, exploring what mediation is and how the process works. It covers key aspects such as eligibility for Legal Aid, the voucher scheme, and when mediation can be most effective.

Participants will learn how to explain mediation to families, offer support to those engaged in the process, and gain information on FREE Strengthening Parental Relationships mediation and couple support options for parents looking to strengthen their relationship provided by Hampshire County Council.

Learning Outcomes:

To build professional understanding of family mediation and the mediation process.
To increase awareness and understanding of Legal Aid and the voucher scheme.
To build professional understanding of when mediation is useful.
To increase professional confidence in explaining mediation to families that they are working with.
To develop professional confidence in supporting families who are going through mediation.
